Wedding: Marie-Catherine and Tim

The weather forecast for Saturday morning at Silver Star Mountain called for rain and thunder storms. This did not stop Marie-Catherine and Tim from going a ahead with the plans for getting married right on the ski slopes. We met in Silver Star Village and went by Skidoo to the set location at the top of two ski runs; "Cloud Nine" and "North Star". After waiting for just five minutes I met the bride and groom for the first time as they arrived on cross country skis. Both with huge smiles on their faces filled with anticipation of what was about to happen. The weather held up and the sun did actually peak out for a while during the ceremony. This was a small and private wedding with the wedding commissioner, Stew Pike, witnesses and friends Jim and Sue Huffman, the couple to be and myself capturing the event. Marie-Cathrine's parents live in Quebec and Tim's parents in Australia and a family wedding and redo of the wedding vows are planned for January. I do hope for the guests in January that they get to hear the original wedding vows as they are some of the most entertaining vows I have ever heard. I hope one of my photos below reflect this. Congrats Marie-Cat and Tim and thanks for letting me be a part of your big day.

Morten came up from Vernon to Silver Star for our most special of special days. It was great to take away the worry about having the shots you really want. I did have my camera and snapped a few shots but within 5 hours of the wedding Morten had already emailed us a link to the photos on the website! This was fantastic as much of our family were not with us for the day so we could share our joy right away with our family and close friends. I have barely looked at my shots since as we just can't get away fom his album. It is at the top of my favourites list!!

Morten was really easy to have around and even though you knew he was there he didn't take over the scene like some photographers can.

Thanks for a wonderful job now we just have to decide which photos to select. Oh what the heck maybe we'll just take them all ;-)

Thanks again Morten. We are so happy you were able to come and capture our day the way you did. We'll be in touch soon for some prints etc. I'm sure both our Parents will be ordering too.
