We survived "Earth Hour". Amazing. No TV, no lights, no computer.... what to do? Well in our household the list included reading a book, knitting, talking, laughing, playing guitar, taking the above photo. As I am in the middle of translating at big stack of letters from 1919 I undeniably started thinking. How did they fill up their evenings back then? I do know they wrote a lot of letters and probably went to bed earlier than we do but were their lives richer?
